Our Story
Annette started Thank You Caregivers from her own personal experiences. She was a single parent. She was working full-time, living paycheck to paycheck, and struggled financially. She reached out to the community and the State for support. She was not eligible as they stated she was over the income limit for a household of two. She was in a hard place; she knew she didn’t want to move to part time status to qualify for benefits because she only needed short term assistance. She wanted to keep moving forward and better herself but there were times obstacles occurred and she needed the help. She started this nonprofit to be that support for single caregivers, working full time, that do not qualify for government assistance, and need temporary support.
Thank You Caregivers is also dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals. Through her experience as a case worker and social worker, Annette has seen firsthand the vital need for this assistance.
